WE ARE STILL ALIVE!!!

Well the end of last year was a real challange for us, having to deal with the removal of a member that was the trustee in charge of our website. So not only did we have to deal with the "headache" and heartache of having to remove a member, but the added stress of trying to build a website from scratch and maintaining a chapter. Luckly we have a strong E-Board and a good group of supportive brother that helped the E-Board through this and were very understanding of the reason we let the chapter kinda slip a bit.

On behalf of the whole Island FOOLS E-Board we would like to send out a big THANK YOU!! to all our members and brothers that encougaged and supported us!!!!

On that note;
After and very good E-Board meeting the other night, I and we think 2010 is going to be a turning point for Island FOOLS!

Couple of things that are on the horizon are; More Community interaction with Parades and the possibility of sponsoring a local little league team, a early spring H.O.T. class, and we would like to put in a bid for the next History & Traditions Night. These are just a few of the things that we have planned for 2010, and we will go more indepth at our 1st qrt. meeting-which brings me to the Qrt. Meeting.

Where: Farmhouse Restaurant- (in the West View Room)

Mount Vernon, WA. 98273
(on the corner of Hwy 20, across from the Shell Gas Station)

When:Saturday March 6th, 2010. 1830-2200 (meeting starts at 1900)

Training: Captain Matt VanGiesen will be talking about NFPA 1403; live fires in an aquired structure
